New Plaza Constitución opens in Ciudad Juan Bosch with RD$222 million investment

Santo Domingo.- Minister of the Presidency José Ignacio Paliza inaugurated Plaza Constitución in Ciudad Juan Bosch, a new public space built with an investment of RD$222.2 million to promote recreation and civic education centered on the Dominican Constitution.

The 42,200-square-meter plaza was developed by the VBC-RD Trust and features 13,000 square meters of green areas, paved walkways, gazebos, benches, a children’s playground, and an outdoor gym. Authorities also inaugurated Los Amos and Camino Real Nordeste roads, built with an additional RD$111.6 million to improve connectivity within Ciudad Juan Bosch.

Paliza said the project reflects the government’s vision of Ciudad Juan Bosch as a model urban development focused on quality of life and orderly growth. Officials from the Constitutional Court of the Dominican Republic and other public institutions participated in the ceremony, where Paliza received a commemorative medal marking the 60th anniversary of the Dominican Civil War of 1965. Plaza Constitución joins other major public spaces in the community designed to foster recreation, culture, and civic engagement.
