Region nations mull port protection next week

SANTO DOMINGO. - Dominican Republic will host a regional event in which representatives from several countries will analyze port protection, mostly to prevent terrorism and other activities that pose threats to national security.

Several continental organizations sponsor the activity with delegates from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama.
