Presentation of Verón-Punta Cana Territorial Planning Plan canceled for the third time
Verón–Punta Cana.- The presentation of the Technical Document for the Territorial Planning Plan (POT) of Verón-Punta Cana was canceled once again and has been postponed until further notice, according to an official statement.
The event was scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana and was being organized by the Ministry of the Presidency of the Dominican Republic in coordination with the Verón-Punta Cana Municipal Tourist District Board.
This marks the third postponement of the long-awaited planning document, which is considered a key tool for guiding urban development, land use, and infrastructure growth in one of the country’s fastest-expanding tourism destinations. Authorities said the cancellation was due to “reasons beyond our control,” but did not provide further details or announce a new date for the presentation.
