Puerto Plata to host PAMAC Cruise Summit 2026
Puerto Plata has been selected as the host city for the PAMAC Cruise Summit 2026, one of the cruise industry’s most influential international events organized by the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association. Scheduled for June 22–26, 2026, the summit will bring together executives from leading cruise lines, tourism authorities, investors, and key industry stakeholders from across the Caribbean and Latin America.
The announcement was made by Regional Tourism Director Carlos Atahualpa Paulino, who described the selection as a major achievement for both Puerto Plata and the Dominican Republic. The event is expected to place the destination at the center of the global cruise tourism industry, showcasing its growing role as a premier Caribbean cruise port and tourism destination.
Authorities highlighted that hosting the summit is the result of efforts led by Tourism Minister David Collado and the partnership established between the Dominican government and the FCCA. The conference is projected to generate significant economic benefits through increased hotel occupancy, higher visitor spending, and growth in sectors such as transportation, restaurants, retail, and tourism services.
Beyond its immediate economic impact, the PAMAC Cruise Summit 2026 is expected to strengthen Puerto Plata’s international profile, attract new tourism and cruise-related investments, and reinforce the Dominican Republic’s position as one of the Caribbean’s leading cruise destinations. The event will also provide a strategic platform to promote the country’s tourism infrastructure and expand relationships with major global cruise operators.
