Punta Cana Airport resumes partial check-in operations at Terminal A
Punta Cana.- Punta Cana International Airport has partially resumed check-in operations at Terminal A as of July 15, 2026, while renovation and improvement work continues at the facility.
Under the updated operating plan, more than 20 airlines—including Air Canada, Avianca, Air Transat, WestJet, Wingo, Sky High Aviation Services, JetSMART, Discover Airlines, TUI Airways, and World2Fly—have returned their check-in services to Terminal A.
Meanwhile, JetBlue, Frontier, Aeroméxico, LATAM Peru, Sky Airline Peru, GlobalX, and Sky Airline Peru will continue checking in passengers at Terminal B to ensure uninterrupted operations during the ongoing upgrades.
Airport officials advise travelers to confirm their assigned check-in terminal with their airline before arriving at the airport.
The phased reopening is part of Punta Cana Airport’s modernization efforts, aimed at enhancing safety, operational efficiency, and the passenger experience.
