Santo Domingo Chamber and Tourism Cluster partner to promote sustainable tourism
Santo Domingo.- The Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce and the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster have signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen the city’s tourism and business ecosystem, create new business opportunities, and promote sustainable development.
The agreement, signed by Chamber President Lucile Houellemont and Cluster President Juan Manuel Martín de Oliva, establishes a framework for both organizations to facilitate business connections, exchange information, identify collaboration opportunities, and develop joint projects and activities.
Houellemont said the partnership will help coordinate initiatives to make Santo Domingo more attractive for tourism and business while creating greater opportunities for companies operating in the city.
Martín de Oliva emphasized that tourism generates economic opportunities beyond directly related activities, adding that stronger connections between local businesses and the tourism sector can expand value chains and the benefits generated by the industry.
The agreement includes networking activities, meetings, workshops, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and the identification of potential joint projects.
The Chamber of Commerce focuses on facilitating business activity in Santo Domingo and supporting companies throughout their development, while the Tourism Cluster aims to strengthen the capital’s position as a gastronomic, meetings and conventions, heritage, and urban destination.
