Six businesses closed due to noise
Santiago – Police reported yesterday that they closed six establishments for noise pollution and obstructing public roads during an operation across different sectors, seizing 44 loudspeakers.
After explaining that the operation was carried out in coordination with the Alcohol Control team of the Ministry of the Interior and the Northern Region Police, he noted that it responded to citizen complaints about high noise levels and the improper occupation of public spaces.
Police said the six closed establishments had high levels of noise pollution and lacked the required documentation to operate.
Authorities said these operations will continue jointly to ensure citizens’ peace of mind, promote compliance with the rules, and preserve free transit in public spaces.
