Sports car crashes into motorcycle in Santiago; collision leaves two dead, including a one-year-old girl

SANTIAGO. – Two people died, including a one-year-old girl, and a woman was injured as a result of a traffic accident between a Chevrolet Corvette and a motorcycle on Friday afternoon on the Joaquín Balaguer highway, as it passes through the Estancia del Yaque community in Santiago de los Caballeros.

Among the fatalities was also the motorcycle driver, identified as Rosario Santos.

Meanwhile, the injured woman was taken to a health center in the municipality of Villa González, according to preliminary information about the collision.

The circumstances of the accident and the identity of the sports car’s driver are still unknown.

Units from the National Emergency and Security System 911, the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Security (DIGESET), and dozens of onlookers arrived at the scene of the incident.
