The Los Alcarrizos cable car will resume services this Monday after a scheduled stoppage
Line 2 of the Santo Domingo Los Alcarrizos cable car will resume service this Monday, July 20, after a scheduled shutdown from July 10 to 19 to maintain the system in accordance with international regulations governing this type of transport, as reported by the Metropolitan Transport Company (MT).
“This is a major maintenance procedure, which must be carried out annually and requires the suspension of operations on the cable cars used as a means of urban transportation. This maintenance requires the system to be completely shut down,” the office reported in a press release.
Meanwhile, the alternative bus service of the Metropolitan Office of Bus Services ( OMSA ) will be provided at no additional cost and on the same operating schedule as the Cable Car, with stops at Los Americanos, Puente Blanco, Bomba Total on Duarte Street, and Los Alcarrizos station.
The planned hours will be Monday to Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
They also noted that Line 2C of the Santo Domingo Metro will continue to operate normally, with no major disruptions to passenger traffic.
