This is what the weather will be like this weekend for the Restoration of the Republic.

The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) reported that this Saturday, the country will remain under the influence of an air mass carrying Saharan dust particles, which will significantly limit rainfall over much of the national territory during the day.

However, during the early morning, a tropical wave will approach, gradually increasing the moisture content and favoring, from the early hours, the occurrence of showers over locations in the Cibao Valley, the Caribbean coastal area, the Central Mountain Range, and sectors of the northeast region.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Restoration Day, the tropical wave under surveillance was number 1.

“It will increase humidity and instability across the country. From the morning hours, cloudy skies, local downpours, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected along the southern coast and in Greater Santo Domingo. During the afternoon, rainfall will intensify towards areas of Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, and nearby provinces,” he stated.

This forecast is subject to change depending on how wind shear affects the system’s evolution.
