US agents take 14 Dominicans wanted on felonies

Santo Domingo.- The Antinarcotics Agency (DNCD0 on Tuesday handed over to US officials 14 men wanted in that country, charged with international drug trafficking, fraud, murder, extortion and other felonies.

The group was handed over to federal agents at San Isidro Airbase, and escorted aboard an aircraft which flew them immediately to the U.S. to face charges.

Among the group of suspects extradited in compliance with a Supreme Court ruling figure Rafael Antonio Pérez (Patines), Luis Manuel Estévez (Lou), Jeremy García López (El Gordo or J.J), Enrique Vladimir María it (Mimin and/or Vlady), Elison Reyes Almonte, Santiago Guzmán González, Dante Caminero Vásquez and Mario Antonio Placido.

Also Geury Rosa Guzmán, Carlos Perdomo Rosario (Depo), José Arismendy Cuesta Abreu, Celso Miguel Sarita, Francisco Rubio Montalvo and Yeury Amarante Rosario.

In a statement, the DNCD said Almonte, Cuesta Abreu, Guzmán González, Caminero Vasquez, Antonio Placido, Guzmán Rosa, Perdomo Rosari, Cuesta Abreu, Sarita and Amarante Rosario form part of a group of 21 detainees who allegedly sold drugs prior to shaking down "clients" through phone calls posing as DEA agents to blackmail for money in exchange for averting prosecution.
