EDEESTE works to put transformer into service in La Romana

La Romana – Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Este (EDEESTE) has intensified its efforts to install a new 69/12.5 kV, 28 MVA transformer at the Romana Pueblo substation to eliminate power outages caused by overloads.

“Our technicians are working tirelessly to ensure the commissioning of this transformer as soon as possible. For this reason, we ask the people of La Romana for their support and understanding during this process,” he said in a press release.

EDEESTE’s General Manager pointed out that, in addition to this transformer, another 138/12.5 kV transformer will be installed at the Romana 138 kV substation next October. “With these actions, we are guaranteeing the growth and stability of the electric service in the province of La Romana for the coming years,” the General Manager indicated.

This progress has been possible thanks to the support of President Luis Abinader and the Unified Council of Distribution Companies (CUED). These authorities’ collaboration and support have been fundamental to implementing these improvements in the region’s electrical infrastructure.

“With the commissioning of these transformers, EDEESTE reaffirms its commitment to the development and quality of electric service, providing solutions that promote the welfare and progress of the community of La Romana,” the statement concluded.
