Edesur dismantles illegal connections in the South

Edesur Dominicana dismantled illegal connections in several shopping malls that stole electricity and hired 717 new customers as part of its actions to reduce losses, increase collection, and continue optimizing electricity service.

San Cristóbal, San Juan de la Maguana, and Baní operations included disconnections in jewelry stores, nightclubs, and centers to sell alcoholic beverages.

In San Cristóbal, in the municipality of Haina, 100 illegal junctions were disconnected, including a shopping plaza, a discotheque, a minimarket, a jewelry store, and a drink shop.

A square was also disconnected in Nigua, also belonging to San Cristóbal.
In the municipal district of Cambita El Pueblecito, the company hired 50 new customers, two electric poles were installed in the El Pedregal alley, and 300 meters of triplex cable were deployed to improve the energy service and normalize the residents of the sector.

During the day in Baní, 150 families were formalized in the El Fundo sector, located in the northern part of the city.

While in San Juan, 57 illegal electrical connections were dismantled in the Sabana Alta municipal district. Various types of cables used for electricity theft were seized, including soft wire, telecommunications cables, and barbed wires.

Edesur reiterated its call to users who have not yet regularized their energy service to approach the nearest commercial offices to formalize their contracts.
