Fernandez pledges fast track for Police reform

SANTO DOMINGO. - President Leonel Fernandez pledged Wednesday to expedite Congress’s approval of the amendment to the Statutory Law of Dominican Republic’s National Police, a measure announced after meeting for around two hours with Police chief Jose Polanco.

Presidency press director Rafael Núñez said measures will be applied to make the Police more preventive.
