Pilot and Co-Pilot killed in aircraft crash in La Romana while en route to Texas
The pilot and co-pilot of a G.200 executive jet were killed following an accident at La Romana International Airport. The aircraft, which had departed for Austin, Texas, reported technical problems and declared an emergency approximately 16 nautical miles southwest of La Romana.
The aircraft attempted to return to the airport but crashed before completing the emergency landing. No passengers were on board.
The Aviation Accident Investigation Commission is currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash.
