High courts agree on handover of 285 pending cases

Santo Domingo.- The Constitutional Court yesterday agreed to coordinate with Supreme Court Chief justice Mariano German the date to deliver the 285 constitutional cases pending, said Constitutional Court president Milton Ray Guevara.

The cases pending a ruling are currently in the Supreme Court building, says a statement signed by Ray Guevara, given to the press during a recess of that high court’s first meeting.

“The public is informed that regarding preliminary data provided by the honorable Supreme Court, the cases pending sentences in that judicial instance, in the matter of constitutional of unconstitutional-action, preventive control of international treaties, and protection, total 285,” the statement says.
