US Embassy holds third edition of its Green Fair

Santo Domingo.– The "Green Team" of the US Embassy in Santo Domingo will hold on Sunday, September 9 its Fair Green, aimed at promoting the idea that protecting the environment should be everyone’s concern.

From its beginning, the U.S. Mission-based environmental group has cleaned beaches, planted hundreds of trees in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment, and recycled more than fifteen tons of paper and plastic.

The fair will be held with the support of the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), the National Network of Business Support for Environmental Protection (ECORED) and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.

Ambassador Raul H. Yzaguirre, Deputy Chief of Mission Christopher A. Lambert, and Consul General Mary Sue Conaway continue to support the Green Team in their community-oriented drive to engage in Green Diplomacy.
