Agents seize 9 suitcases of drug in Venezuela plane (Update)

Santo Domingo.- All security departments, the National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) and the National Police at Las Americas International Airport have converged around a private plane which came to the country from Caracas Venezuela, with seven sacks of drugs.

Seven people, including one woman have been arrested thus far, according to local media.

Airport authorities are questioning the aircraft’s pilots, members of the military and employees of an airport services company while an unidentified prosecutor is currently searching for drugs in luggage with X-Ray.

Senior officials of the DNCD, the Airport Security Corps, National Investigations Dept. DNI, Army intelligence (J2) and other agencies are taking part in the ongoing operation.
