Lack of papers lands 400,000 motorbikes in impound yard

Santo Domingo.- Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) director Pablo A. Pujols on Wednesday said around 400,000 motorcycles have been impounded on lack of documents, and taken to the greyhound track located 14 kilometers north of the capital.

He said companies brought most of those motorcycles and sold them with just a copy of the registration, while the buyers made payments, but had yet to register them.

Pujols, interviewed on NCND Channel 37, said he’s working with the Justice Ministry to reduce the high number of motorcycles at AMET’s Impound Yard.
