Dominican agents find 45 pounds of marijuana hidden in a truck

Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported Saturday that Antinarcotics (DICAN) agents and Public Ministry officers seized a sack containing seven packages of a plant, presumably marijuana, weighing about 45 pounds.

The seizure took place in Guanito, San Juan de La Maguana province, inside a Daihatsu truck, plate L251609, that belongs to Rafael Emilio Gomez Rosso.

According to the report, the driver, called Yonruiz, fled when the officers told him to stop. He was unsuccessfully chased.
