President Medina discusses 2016-2020 education plan

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina met Friday with representatives of the Government’s education sector to know the details of the plan to be implemented over the next four years.

The mission of Medina’s administration is to consolidate the achievements in primary, pre-university education and emphasize quality. Building thousands of classrooms all over the country, enabling computer labs in schools and revolutionary programs such as extended school day, guaranteeing breakfast, lunch, snack for children will be restated to benefit the poorest, along with the new paradigms of quality education.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo, Education minister Carlos Amarante Baret, Higher Education, Science and Technology minister Ligia Amada Melo, and vice ministers Luis Matos and Victor Sanchez.
