Notorious repeat drug trafficking suspect to be arraigned Wed.

Santo Domingo.- The hearing to arraign Bienvenido Guevara Díaz (Maconi) and codefendants, was adjourned for 5pm Wed., in the case of the 1,570 kilos of cocaine seized on a ship now impounded at San Souci pier in the Dominican Naval headquarters.

The case’s 300-page indictment prompted National District judge Yanibeth Rivas to set the hearing for next Wed., according to defense lawyer, Francisco Dominguez.

Guevara, a former kingpin convicted in the case of the notorious ex-con Quirino Paulino (El Don), was accompanied in the hearing by codefendants Dante Meraldo Medina, Dante Wilfredo Medina Ozuna (Dantico) and Carlos Julio Cuesta.
