Interior and Police closes grocery stores and bars that violated beverage sales schedule
Santo Domingo-. The Ministry of Interior and Police (MIP) ordered this weekend the provisional closure of various establishments for the sale of alcoholic beverages from Greater Santo Domingo and the provinces Santiago, Dajabón, and Azua.
The temporary closure of these centers responds to the violation of decree number 308-06 that regulates the hours of sale of alcoholic beverages in colmados, discos, drinks, bars, casinos, and entertainment centers.
The closing measure was ordered by the minister of the MIP, José Ramón Fadul, for the excess of the schedules established in the aforementioned decree, and which governs the operation of these types of entertainment centers.
Fadul said that citizen security and tranquility continue to be strengthened in the programs directed by the MIP, an institution that is willing to act accordingly in the event of non-compliance with the provisions established by law.
In addition, Minister Fadul urged the owners of establishments for the sale of alcoholic beverages to respect the established schedules and the prohibition of minors and firearms within these centers.
The operation was organized by the direction of Control of Alcoholic Beverages (COBA) of the MIP, directed by the licda. The businesses temporarily closed, through the operation executed by the dependencies and authorities of the MIP, correspond to: “Ramoncito Drink, in the Simón Bolivar sector; Barcito Bar, Evaristo Morales Sector; La Makina, on Av. Independencia; Onyx Lounge, in the San Carlos sector; Late Night, on Av. Romulo Betancourt, Bella Vista sector; Yankey Club, in Ens. Luperon; Ronny, in the Albert Thomás sector, located in Greater Santo Domingo.
While in Santo Domingo East, the closing of “Xtremo, Trinitarios sector; The Drink Stop, in Los Mameyes; Euphoria, Av. Venezuela, Ens. Ozama; Ethika Club, Ave. Venezuela; Luxury Drink, in the Savica sector, Los Alcarrizos .”
In the province of Santiago, “Cafetería Miguel, Av. Joaquín Balaguer; The Partners Sports Bar, Los Reyes; Level Club, Av. Juan Pablo Duarte; Stop Bar and Drink, Calle del Sol; Servicentro el Puente; Joaquin Balaguer highway; Stop Bar Drink and Tarynga Bar, Ens. Bolivar.”
In Dajabón, “El Viejevo” was closed, located in Dulce de Jesús street in Barrio Benito Monción; while in the Azua province, the “Colmado Prieta, extension Mirabal Sisters, La Bombita; Papa Nico Drink, Duarte Street, La Tamara Arriba, and Sofoke Drink, Pueblo Viejo Street.”
