Deputy imprisoned in Miami since 2021 appears present in several legislative sessions this year

Despite being imprisoned in Miami since May 18, 2021, Miguel Gutiérrez Díaz, the deputy for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), has been recorded as attending various legislative sessions in 2023.

According to the attendance records in the Legislative Information System (SIL), Gutiérrez is noted to have attended 14 sessions in person. He first appears present in the extraordinary sessions on February 13, 2023, where he registers twice. The legislator is also recorded as present on February 14, 27, and 28, 2023, as well as on March 1, 14, 15, 29, and 30. Additionally, he appears to have attended sessions on April 12, 21, 22, and 28.

Some of these sessions were ordinary and some were extraordinary. Overall, despite his imprisonment, the deputy attended a total of 19 sessions in 2023.

It is a very questionable ploy to keep him on the payroll and delay efforts to remove him from his seat. Politics !!!
