Vaguada causes downpours and wind
Santo Domingo – Isolated showers will occur in the morning and in the afternoon showers with thunderstorms and wind gusts in the provinces of the east, north, south, northwest, and southwest by the incidence of a trough.
The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) monitors a trough associated with a low-pressure area over the northwest Gulf of Mexico with a 10% probability of cyclonic development for the next two days to a tropical wave in the central Atlantic with low probability of cyclonic development in the next two days and 40% in a week; it also observes another tropical wave near the Cape Verde Islands, with a potential for cyclonic development of 20%.
It foresees that temperatures will remain high, with great heat sanction.
Tomorrow’s forecast calls for showers, thunderstorms, and wind gusts in the north, east, south, and southwest.
