Cooperatives are contributing to the economic strengthening of the country

Salcedo—The cooperatives are contributing to the country’s economic strengthening, which means they are the lungs through which the different national sectors are developed, so she called on government authorities to continue providing all the necessary support to this sector.

The statement was made today by the General Manager of Cooperativa La Unión, Yudelka Jiménez, who expressed her satisfaction with how these entities have been playing the role for which they were created.

On October 25, National Cooperative Day, the community leader said that today, more than ever, government authorities and all other sectors that directly affect the development of the nation must continue to support cooperatives, understanding that these are the gateways through which many people find the most accessible way to develop in various orders.

In this sense, Jimenez said that the cooperative movement, more than financial institutions, has become a fundamental piece in bringing solutions and financial education to sectors that previously had not been taken into account, not only in the province of Hermanas Mirabal, where Coopunion has a massive presence through its various branches but throughout the northeastern region.

“But not only we as Coopunión have been doing the co-educational work, no, also all the sister cooperatives in the area and in the country in general, have played stellar roles in the subject of financial education, for example, but also in other areas that are of great importance for the good management of our societies,” said Jiménez.
