Dominican Republic begins formal tariff talks with U.S.

Santo Domingo.- A delegation from the Dominican Republic is set to hold its first high-level meeting with U.S. officials this Tuesday in Washington, D.C., to discuss the recent 10% global tariff increase announced by the United States. The Dominican team includes Ministers Víctor Ito Bisonó (Industry and Commerce), Roberto Álvarez (Foreign Affairs), and José Manuel Vicente (Finance). They will meet with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and the USTR team, marking the beginning of a formal bilateral dialogue on trade policy.
