Some fuels will be marketed with new prices in the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo—According to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM) announcement, some fuels will be marketed at new prices in the Dominican Republic starting this Saturday, October 19. The main fuels will maintain their prices until the 25th of this month.

The Government had a targeted subsidy of about 233.6 million pesos to avoid transferring the increases in the international market to the Dominican population.

The price will be marketed at 190.03 pesos per gallon after registering a decrease of 2.35 pesos; the price of Kerosene will drop 2.70 pesos, to be sold to the public at 219.10 pesos per gallon.

Another fuel that will drop in price is fuel oil #6, which will cost 166.01 pesos per gallon, a drop of 2.95 pesos. 1%S fuel oil will be sold at 178.55 pesos per gallon, a decrease of 3.85 pesos.

Other fuels

Thus, for the week of October 19 to 25, 2024, it is provided that fuels will be marketed at the following prices:

  • Premium gasoline: 290.10 pesos per gallon, unchanged.
  • Regular Gasoline: 272.50 per gallon, unchanged.
  • Regular diesel: 221.60 per gallon, unchanged.
  • Optimal diesel: 239.10 pesos per gallon, unchanged.
  • Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG): 132.60 pesos per gallon, unchanged.
  • Natural Gas: 43.97 pesos per m³, unchanged.

The average weekly exchange rate is 60.20 pesos, according to the daily publications of the Central Bank.
