Adopron supports measure limits hours sale of alcoholic beverages
The official spokesperson of Adopom, Circe Almánzar.
Regarding the restriction of hours for the sale of alcoholic beverages in grocery stores, cafeterias, car washes, mechanical parks, water parks, and liquor stores, the Dominican Association of Rum Producers (Adopron) expressed its support and respect for the measures taken by the authorities to promote responsible consumption.
“Our association and the companies that make it up support and respect the measures taken by the authorities that seek to promote the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages; for this reason, we understand that at all times, citizens must comply with what has been implemented by the Government,” said the official spokeswoman of Adopom, Circe Almánzar, when consulted by HOY in relation to the provision taken by the Ministry of Interior and Police.
Likewise, Almánzar said that Adopron calls on Dominicans to enjoy in moderation this Christmas, to take care of their relatives, and to be aware that, if alcoholic beverages are consumed, do not drive to avoid traffic accidents that put their lives, those of their loved ones and third parties at risk.
She said that rum companies in the country are characterized by developing programs to promote responsible consumption. These include alliances with the National Police to take messages on the importance of responsible consumption to different places where alcoholic beverages are sold, placing icons on bottles of rum, and campaigns to promote responsible consumption nationally and internationally, among other initiatives.
If she was really supporting measures of sales limits, she would suggest less early morning hours sales. This article has no substance other than to give Adopron media attention.
