Proindustria, UNDP, JICA, and Loyola launch industrial startup acceleration program

Santo Domingo.- The Center for Industrial Development and Competitiveness (Proindustria), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Loyola Polytechnic Institute (IPL), launched the first phase of the Industrial Startup Acceleration Program on August 14. The event, held at the ProDominicana auditorium, gathered authorities, partner representatives, and 100 selected entrepreneurs.

The four-month program provides training, mentoring, personalized guidance, and prototyping support to help ventures develop scalable business models. Participants began their first official training session during the launch, with ongoing support from national and international experts. The organizers intend for this initiative to become a replicable model that strengthens the country’s business community, generates jobs, supports local development, and promotes a more innovative and competitive economy.
