The country’s most controversial case continues today

Santo Domingo.- Supreme Court justice Frank Soto will continue starting 9am Wednesday the hearings on senator Felix Bautista’s request to lift the liens on real estate and other properties of the company Rofi, of which the lawmaker is a minority shareholder, and at the center of what has become Dominican Republic’s most talked-about trial.

As the Instruction Judge, Soto will preside over the hearing after the High Court ruled against the prosecution’s challenge against the magistrate.

Soto had suspended the hearing November 5 and referred the case to the full Court, which ratified him instead of appoint another judge to continue the proceedings against Felix, one of former president Leonel Fernandez’s closest collaborators.
