Military vehicle attacked on DR-Haiti border, youths arrested
Dajabón, DR.– On Monday, young men were arrested for allegedly throwing rocks and bottles at a military vehicle carrying a military relief force on the border.
According to some reports, a military patrol carrying the 6:00 am relief sounded their horn to the young men in question, asking them to move. The individuals reacted by throwing rocks and bottles at the military vehicle, breaking its windows.
The young men, identified as Anderson Gil Tejada and Josué Joel Valenzuela, were arrested on the spot.
The patrol driver, named Escarramán, was sent to the hospital for evaluation with blunt force trauma from the rocks and bottles that impacted the windshield of the military vehicle.
