AIRD and Barna Business School sign academic collaboration agreement

Santo Domingo.- The Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD) and Barna School of Senior Management have signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement to collaborate on various academic activities. This includes teaching, research, training, and service extension, among other areas.

The agreement was signed by Julio Virgilio Brache, president of the AIRD, and Paulo Alves, rector of Barna Business School.

Under this agreement, Barna will conduct case studies of interest to the AIRD, which can be shared in classrooms and during case methodology sessions for the National Board and AIRD working committees. It also includes opportunities for AIRD members to participate in scholarship programs for master’s degrees in the northern zone, joint research activities, training programs, and publications.

Specific activities will be detailed in subsequent agreements under this framework agreement to ensure their successful implementation.

“Our more than 240 partner industries, as well as over 20 sectoral and regional associations, can benefit from this collaboration. We are committed to the constant pursuit of excellence, and Barna is a reliable partner in that direction,” said Brache at the signing ceremony.

AIRD members represent various subsectors of the Dominican economy, including food and beverages, plastics, paper, textiles, mining, energy, steel, cement and construction products, medicines, personal and household care products, and tobacco, among others.

Alves noted that “this agreement, signed during the 25th anniversary of our institution, aligns with our mission to transform organizations and society through comprehensive training of managers and alliances with the country’s productive sectors.”

The agreement is set to last for three years from the date of signing.
