Santo Domingo.- Minister of Tourism, David Collado, revealed plans for the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony led by President Abinader for the construction of a boulevard set to transform the cityscape. Stretching from Winston Churchill to Abraham Lincoln, this ambitious project entails an investment of RD$500 million pesos.

Collado disclosed that construction is slated to commence within the next 20 to 30 days, signaling a clear commitment to urban and tourism development in Santo Domingo. “Our country is poised for tourism development and attracting investments,” he emphasized.

Expressing gratitude to RCD Hotels CEO Roberto Chapur for his confidence in the government and commitment to investing in the country, Collado underscored the significance of this partnership in advancing the tourism agenda of the Dominican Republic. RCD Hotels “Latitud 18 project” seems most likely the reason behind this blvd. construction. It appears the project is near the corner Abraham Lincoln and Calle Andres Julio Aybar. The latter street runs from Lincoln to Churchill.
