Light clothing recommended due to hot temperatures this Sunday

Santo Domngo – The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reported that for this Sunday, the humidity content will begin to gradually increase over different regions of the national territory due to a trough to the north of the island.

In addition, he stressed that the same, in combination with local effects and the influence of the wind from the southeast, will cause weak to moderate rainfall at times with possible thunderstorms and isolated gusts of wind.

The entity expressed that these possible rains will be mainly in the afternoon over different localities of the provinces of La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, Monte Plata, Greater Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, María Trinidad Sánchez, Sánchez Ramírez, San José de Ocoa, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Monte Cristi, Valverde, Dajabón, Elías Piña, San Juan and Pedernales.

These will be less frequent towards other towns. These rainy conditions will be present until the early hours of the night.

TEMPERATURES
Temperatures will be hot due to the time of the year and the warm wind from southeast direction, so it was recommended to wear light clothing of light colors, drink enough fluids, preferably water and avoid sun exposure without proper sunscreen, from 11:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon.

At that time, he reminded that children and elderly people are more susceptible to high temperatures.

For Greater Santo Domingo, the minimum temperature is between 23 °C and 25 °C and maximum between 33 °C and 35 °C.
