President Abinader inaugurates military facilities in Dajabón

Dajabón, DR.- President Luis Abinader inaugurated the new military facilities of the 10th Infantry Battalion in the province of Dajabón, significantly enhancing security measures and operations in the border area.

During the event, President Abinader was accompanied by Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, Minister of Defense, and Major General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, Commander General of the Army, who provided welcoming remarks and details about the new facilities.

Major General Fernández Onofre highlighted that the new facilities increase the military presence in a region prone to illegal activities typical of border areas. He emphasized that the unit now includes barracks capable of housing 400 additional military personnel, an industrial kitchen, dining room, cold storage rooms, recreational areas, laundry, tailoring, and entertainment areas. He thanked President Abinader for his support in enhancing the capabilities and morale of the Army, ensuring the security and defense of the country. The event was attended by local and military authorities, civil officials, and special guests.

Boots polished, uniforms neat & clean, barracks policed, and old paint covered with new paint. The illegals still cross the border.
