Arajet sets record with over 120,000 passengers in July
Santo Domingo.- Arajet, the Caribbean low-cost airline, achieved a milestone in July by transporting over 120,000 passengers, marking the first time a Dominican airline has surpassed 100,000 passengers in a single month.
According to the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Arajet handled 79% of all passengers traveling with Dominican airlines during the month. Of the total, 90,433 passengers either arrived in or departed from the Dominican Republic, while approximately 30,000 were in transit at Las Americas International Airport.
This performance set a new record for Arajet, exceeding its previous high from June 2024 by more than 20,000 passengers. The airline’s figures far surpassed those of its closest competitor, Sky High, which transported around 17,000 passengers, and Air Century, which had 6,000.
