Controversial traffic light contract sparks dispute between former and current officials
Santo Domingo.- Former director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (Intrant), Hugo Beras, criticized multiple control agencies for failing in the tendering process for a traffic light modernization contract in Greater Santo Domingo. In response, Carlos Pimentel, director of Purchases and Contracts, defended his institution, stating that the tender was annulled five times due to irregularities.
