Subtropical Storm Patty has already formed, does it represent a danger to the Dominican Republic?
Santo Domingo—Gloria Ceballos, the director of the Dominican Institute of Meteorology, reported that this Saturday morning, subtropical storm Patty formed, moving east/southeast at 11 kph with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph.

She also indicated that this atmospheric phenomenon will pass near or over the Azores this weekend.
“Due to its position and displacement, it does not pose a danger to the national territory,” he said.
