Swiss Ambassador Pascal Bornoz presents credentials in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- Pascal Bornoz, the newly appointed ambassador of Switzerland to the Dominican Republic, took a key step in his accreditation process by presenting copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez.

During the ceremony, Álvarez welcomed the diplomat and highlighted the strong and longstanding ties of cooperation and mutual understanding between both countries. Bornoz brings extensive experience in Switzerland’s foreign service, having served in multiple regions including Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East, as well as holding roles such as consul general.

The Swiss ambassador is expected to formally present his credentials to President Luis Abinader in the coming days, completing the process that will officially recognize him as Switzerland’s diplomatic representative in the country.
