4.8 Magnitude earthquake shakes New York and New Jersey
New York.- This Friday, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake rattled the states of New York and New Jersey, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The USGS indicated that the tremor originated near Lebanon, New Jersey, approximately 75 kilometers west of New York, with a preliminary magnitude of 4.8.
The quake, lasting several seconds, was felt across the city, with reports from internet users spanning from Brooklyn to the Bronx and Manhattan.

Felt it here in Western Massachusetts. We live in the Berkshire Mountains and the whole house shook and my girl and I looked at each other and she said what was that? I said earthquake! All I could think of was “ I wish this house was built like the ones in the Dominican Republic!
