Government invests over RD$2 billion in Samaná tourism infrastructure
Santo Domingo.- Tourism Minister David Collado announced an investment of RD$2.047 billion in infrastructure projects in Samaná, including road paving, drainage systems, street reconstruction, and upgrades to public spaces and tourism facilities.
He also revealed plans to pave 29 streets near the Arroyo Barril cruise terminal, with an additional RD$185 million investment covering more than six kilometers, as part of preparations for its upcoming inauguration and the arrival of cruise ships.
Meanwhile, Vice Minister Tammy Reynoso presented a new tourism brand for Samaná, developed with input from international consultants and local stakeholders such as AHETSA, aiming to reposition the province as a world-class destination.
