Another posh resort festoons Dominican Republic’s finest moment

Punta Cana.- Tourism minister, Francisco Javier García, affirmed Wed. that the Dominican Republic is at its finest moment of growth for the development of all of the country’s economic sectors, due to the confidence instilled among major investors, the legal security, and the social and economic stability.

García spoke before the dozens of hoteliers and business leaders who attended, the opening ceremony of the 432-room resort “The Grand Reserve At Paradisus Palma Real & CirclePunta Cana, headed by president, Danilo Medina

“The Dominican Republic is today at its best to develop education, private investment, the interior and MSMEs, as well as the best time for the development of tourism in the country,” the official said.

He said as a signal of that confidence translated into more investment for the country, has been the sustained support of Spanish businessmen, such as Meliá Hotels International founder and president Gabriel Escarrer, for having turned the Punta Cana destinatio into “a true leading tourism powerhouse in the Caribbean, Central and South America.”
