Gov. agency hosts 1st regional forum to promote exports

Santiago.- Dominican Republic’s Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) held the first regional export forum to promote exports, identifying business opportunities and gathering strategic information from each province.

“The forums are designed so that all companies, including SMEs and potential exporters, access opportunities that increase their ability to internationalize and reach potential buyers with the help of the CEI-RD,” the agency said in a statement.

The Forum’s first edition, held at Gran Almirante hotel, focused on Santiago, Espaillat and Puerto Plata provinces, where participants expressed difficulties exporting, which will allow the CEI-RD to raise that information to improve their services.

In his speech for the conference, CEI-RD director Marius de León said they help companies to export regardless of their size.
