For the third time, protesters demand wage hike for police

Santo Domingo.- Relatives of active policeofficers, retirees and pensioners on Tuesday picketed Congress to demand a wageincrease with which they can live with dignity, chanting "discipline can goto hell," in response to Police spokesman Nelso Rosario's warning againstsuch protests.

They also demand guarantees of labor rigths,and economic and social protection.
