Eastern resort region’s electric service gets LatAm kudos

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.-The resortregion of ??Bavaro, Punta Cana and Bayahíbe has the third best electric servicein Latin America and the Caribbean.

The ranking comes from the 24th regionalconsumer satisfaction survey conducted by the Regional Energy IntegrationCommission (CIER) on electricity distribution companies.

The region’s electricity distribution service,by the Punta Cana-Macao (CEPM) energy group was the third among 31 distributioncompanies in Latin America and the Caribbean with fewer than 500,000 customers,obtaining the Bronze medal for the second time for regional consumersatisfaction of electric power in the survey.

CEPM also won first place for CorporateSocial Responsibility, second place in customer service and energy supply, andthird place in image.

The award was received in Santa Cruz de Boliviaby power company GM Jesús Bolinaga, as part of the 51st Meeting of CIER SeniorExecutives of Latin America.
