High pressure system to gradually decrease showers

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts widely scattered showers in the Southeast, Northeast and Central Mountains, but decreasing gradually from an approaching high pressure system.

It said the rains will be less than 10 millimeters for the next 24 to 48 hours especially along the Caribbean coast, northeast and central region.

ONAMET said marine conditions along the Atlantic and Caribbean coasts continue improving gradually, but recommends precaution for small craft and should remain near shore on higher than normal waves, and those in Samaná Bay shouldn’t venture out to sea.
