Blood donors urgently needed for 16-year-old girl with leukemia

Santo Domingo.- Dr. Ramon Antonio Cabrera, spokesman for the hospital where the 16-year-old pregnant girl is being treated for aggressive leukemia, on Thursday made an urgent call for blood donations.

He said the patient urgently needs donations "to administer the platelets she and her fetus require to counter the toxicity of the treaement for her acute lymphatic leukemia."
