Low probability of rain, small craft warning for Atlantic coast

Santo Domingo.- The weather bureau (Onamet) forecasts low probability of rain across the country, except for some scattered showers for the northeast and southeast, from the humidity dragged by the east-northeast wind.

It said a frontal system over eastern Cuba, resulting in significantly lower temperatures tomorrow, New Year’s Day, and with some light showers for the North, Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains.

Onamet adds that the surf along the Caribbean coast begins to return to normal, but issued warnings on higher than normal winds and waves for the Atlantic coast, where small craft should sail near shore.
