Medina sends condolences to president Obama, the American people

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina, on behalf of the government and the Dominican people, on Tuesday sent condolences to U.S. president Barack Obama and the American people, one day after the deadly attack during the Boston Marathon, with three fatalities and around 170 injured.

In the letter sent via the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican capital, Medina called the attack painful and abominable.

"Receive the most sincere condolences on behalf of the people, the Government of the Dominican Republic and on my own, for the unfortunate attack on participants in the Boston Marathon,” the head of state said.
